CelebrateOne’s First Progress Forum: Ten Years In – Beyond the Numbers

In March 2025, CelebrateOne hosted its first-ever Progress Forum at the Ohio Statehouse, convening leaders from Columbus and across Ohio to examine the state of infant mortality and the work ahead.

The Forum moved beyond the numbers, pairing a ten-year review of infant mortality data with the lived experiences of families across our region. Two panels created space to examine where progress has been made, where families are still falling through the cracks, and the innovative cross-system collaboration needed to create lasting change.

Holding this conversation at the Ohio Statehouse underscored the importance of connecting community experience, data, and policy in the same room. It elevated more than a decade of infant mortality work in Central Ohio, naming both progress and persistent challenges at the place where systems and policy decisions are shaped.

As CelebrateOne’s first Progress Forum, the event marked an important milestone in our collective impact work. It reaffirmed the power of convening across sectors and strengthened our shared commitment to advancing solutions grounded in both evidence and lived experience.
