CelebrateOne Policy Summit: It Takes All of Us
In July 2025, CelebrateOne hosted its first-ever Policy Summit on Maternal and Infant Health, dedicating a full day to one clear purpose: turning policy into meaningful change for families.
This was not a surface-level conversation. The Policy Summit centered on the systems, decisions, and investments that shape maternal and infant health outcomes long before a baby is born. From the opening plenary through the closing call to action, the focus remained on how policy shows up in real life and how it can either support families or leave them navigating impossible barriers.
The Summit highlighted innovative policy approaches already reshaping outcomes, from guaranteed income models and service-enriched housing to systems that better align data, technology, and trust across sectors. Speakers challenged attendees to think differently about what is possible when policies are designed with dignity, equity, and community voice at the center.
A central theme throughout the day was accountability. Reducing infant mortality requires more than good intentions. It demands bold policy choices, cross-sector collaboration, and the willingness to confront inequities directly, especially when it comes to accelerating progress for Black families who continue to experience disproportionate loss.
As CelebrateOne’s first-ever Policy Summit, the event marked a pivotal moment in connecting advocacy, policy, and systems change. It clarified what it truly takes to move from conversation to action and reinforced a shared responsibility to advance policies that meaningfully support families.
Because policy is not abstract. It determines where families live, how they access care, what support they receive, and whether babies have the chance to thrive.
