CelebrateOne Hosts Columbus’ Biggest Baby Shower
On Saturday, May 31, CelebrateOne brought families, partners, and community organizations together at the Linden Community Center for its 2025 Community Baby Shower, creating a joyful, supportive, and resource-rich experience for families across Columbus.
More than 1,031 people took part in the event, making it the largest Community Baby Shower CelebrateOne has hosted to date. With more partners, more resources, and more opportunities for connection than ever before, the event reflected what is possible when a city comes together to support families from the very beginning.
Families had access to multiple interactive zones throughout the day, including an Infant Safety Zone focused on safe sleep, car seat safety, and infant CPR, a Family Empowerment Room offering tools for job readiness and financial literacy, and the CelebrateOne Connector Corner, where families could connect to doulas and CelebrateOne services. Children and families enjoyed the Little Explorers Zone, designed just for kids, while the Meet Your Village space brought together more than 65 community organizations offering local, ongoing support. Families moved through the event connecting directly with trusted partners while also enjoying food, raffles, giveaways, and a special visit from the Columbus Zoo. Essential items were distributed throughout the day, including more than 400 diaper bags, reinforcing CelebrateOne’s commitment to meeting both immediate and long-term needs.
“This baby shower is about more than a single event,” said Danielle Tong. “It is about surrounding families with the people, resources, and relationships that help them feel supported long after the day ends. When families walk in, they are stepping into a village.”
CelebrateOne staff and Connectors were present throughout the event, helping families navigate resources, ask questions, and build meaningful connections in real time. The atmosphere inside the Linden Community Center reflected celebration, care, and shared commitment to healthy pregnancies and safe beginnings.
The Community Baby Shower is part of CelebrateOne’s broader mission to ensure every baby in Columbus reaches their first birthday and beyond. By pairing celebration with access to trusted support, CelebrateOne continues to strengthen the systems and relationships that families rely on during pregnancy and early parenthood.
The event was organized by CelebrateOne with generous support from Columbus Diaper Bank, Encova Insurance, Nationwide Insurance, and Donatos, and in collaboration with local health providers, city departments, and community organizations.
